Clyde T. Cobb established SCP, Specialty Concrete Products, in 1992. Clyde was raised in the building industry and is second generation in the business. Clyde spent his high school and college years around concrete. And when Clyde was not working along side his father, he was either wrestling on the high school and college team, or wrestling a hug and a kiss from his high school sweetheart, Nicole, now his wife and mother of two beautiful children.

Clyde is a passionate man. His love and passion for his trade began to develop a curiosity for a better way to use decorative concrete products, thus began his quest to develop a better way. As others in different parts of the nation at the time, Clyde found a need for better understanding and availability of products and tools.

Clyde decided he could do it better, and with his southern hospitality and work ethic, together with his wife, father, and his dedicated staff, he began his quest to develop a company that its specialty was concrete products, thus SCP or Specialty Concrete Products.

This southern recipe for great concrete products began to take off. One of the dirty little secrets of our industry is that most companies that market decorative concrete products actually don't manufacture them. Clyde would not fall for this easy, quick buck. You see, it's easy to take someone else's formula slap your label on it and call it good. Clyde won't have any of that.

Clyde invested in hiring a chemist, formulating his own products, buying and building his own equipment and today, SCP is a leader in manufacturing outstanding decorative concrete products.

SCP started in Columbia, South Carolina and has grown to distribute throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. In fact, SCP products are all over the new Venetian Casino in Macau.
